No one knew what ever happened to the truck, until it was finally found in Bearsville, NY in 1988. It was a complete wreck. The truck was brought back to Elmira, and a Preservation Society was started. Due to the generous donators, in money, materials and labor, the popcorn truck was fully restored by the mid '90s. And guess what? You can buy that delicious (though not as good as Frank's), buttery popcorn from it once again!
