Knoll behind the stage area at Eldridge Park - June 22, 1985
I remember being in the movie booth at Eldridge for the last day of the season movies. Most of the time it was COLD. But they stayed there for the whole show! What memories. Just a short thought about the tree. It was just a twig then. I asked then Parks super Jim McGovern for permission to plant it on the knoll. He was thrilled. He made arrangements to be there on a Saturday. When my father (Louis Volino) and I got there, there was Jim with 2 city employees with shovels in hand. My father brought his own shovel After a good laugh they dug a small hole, and the picture I sent will show the results. He was so proud of that tree that he would go there in the spring and trim it.
